A close-knit bilingual school at the heart of the 16th district of Paris
Located very nearby Trocadéro, in a hôtel particulier with secured access, EIB Lamartine bilingual school welcomes around 220 children from petite section (part -time) of preschool to CM2, at the heart of Paris’s 16th district, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
As with EIB Monceau, its partner school in the 8th district, EIB Lamartine offers a French curriculum with State contract which is supplemented by an exclusive programme of early English learning.
From CP, one quarter of school time is dedicated to English
Led by qualified English-speaking teachers, learning English starts from the age of 3, at a rate of 30 minutes per day. Our objective? Help the children develop their speaking skills thanks to interactive playful methods (games, songs, etc.) including with the use of new technologies. In addition to the typical boards, every classroom is equipped with interactive digital whiteboards.
From CP, English represents one quarter of school time (that is, 1h30/day), for a total of 6 hours per week. As French has not been perfectly mastered by the students, English classes are only focused on speaking skills (except for advanced and bilingual groups), in order to avoid confusion.
A wide range of extracurricular activities, particularly in English
As with EIB Monceau, the students in our primary school in the 16th district do not have classes on Wednesdays, which enables our teaching team to offer many extracurricular activities to families, including a chess club, art, writing and drama workshops, etc.
On Wednesday mornings, we offer a 3 hour English immersion with “Happy Wednesday” workshops during which many artistic, cultural and playful activities are carried out to reinforce the English learning process.
